Dr Patrick Kuma-Aboagye MB-BCH, MPH Dip. RH

Dr Patrick Kuma-Aboagye MB-BCH, MPH Dip. RH is a Deputy Director and head of the Reproductive and Child Health Department of the Family Health Division, Ghana Health Service.

He worked as the Reproductive Health Coordinator for the 3 Northern Regions of Ghana and as the National Program Manager for Reproductive Health from 2004 to 2009 before being promoted to the current position. He has over 20 years of working experience as a clinician and public health physician and has over fifteen years of progressive responsible experience in Reproductive and Child health in Ghana.  

He has managed many flagship programs in Maternal Newborn and Child Health programs in Ghana notably the High Impact Rapid Delivery Approach (HIRDA) to MDG 4 &5 and currently the MDG Acceleration Framework (MAF) focusing on MDG 5

He is a peer reviewer and also a member of Editorial Board of MEDICC Review Medical Journal. He has also played lead role in the conduct of many studies including the Ghana Maternal Health Study (2007) and the Ghana Emergency Obstetric and New Born Care Assessment (2010)
